Sustainable Living – as a California transplant from the Midwest, Joanne has embraced that California sensibility in her business and her life. Like many of her neighbors, she is constantly learning new ways we can add to the greening of the planet, stop waste and maintain awareness of how to apply that old adage “if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem” to living green. Joanne has taken her affinity for green and created a new green consulting and training arm to her design and training company, EcoChic Partners.

Joanne O’Donnell began teaching adults as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Illinois in 1974 and continued training throughout her 25 year career as a manager in human resource departments and executive search companies. Since 2002 she has been training real estate professionals and home stagers to successfully market properties using home staging. In addition to the Live Green Live Smart Certified Professional™, the Green Home Build Sciences™ certificate program, and the Earth in the Balance™ programs, Joanne is a Trainer for the CSP™ program and trains stagers and realtors in staging throughout the USA and Canada. She is also an Instructor for the Dewey Color Consultant course and was an integral part of the Color Consultant course development as part of the Dewey color Advisory Board. Joanne’s training credits include real estate continuing education classes, accredited and certified programs.
In addition to her extensive training background, Joanne is the founder and principal of Chic Home Interiors, a premier real estate staging company in the San Francisco Bay Area – the most sophisticated real estate staging market on the planet, as well as one of the most intently green marketplaces. Peter C. Lytle, President of BDG Partners, Inc. and the Executive Director and Founder of Live Green, Live Smart, LLC.
Mr. Lytle founded BDG Partners in 1992 after leaving a successful career as a senior executive with several Fortune100 Companies. He has proven to be a most effective entrepreneur and businessperson by taking companies he has invested in from bankruptcy and under one million in revenues to over $600 million in revenues in less than two years. He is a successful business coach, with clients across the country, a well-known business stabilization specialist and strategic planner and is considered the foremost authority today in the area of Predictive Modeling (an update on Deming's House of Quality.) Mr. Lytle often acts as the Chairman or CEO of companies in transition and works with Boards of Directors on organizational and strategic planning.
Mr. Lytle is the founder and Executive Director of Live Green, Live Smart, an International organization, focused on environmental initiatives to design low impact, green, sustainable and environmentally friendly housing. Live Green, Live Smart created under Mr. Lytle's leadership one of the world's greenest homes, which was awarded by the US Green Building Council its first LEED for Homes™ Platinum Certification in December of 2007.
Mr. Lytle has served as Chairman and CEO of his own firms and the firms of others: Humanetics Corporation (pharmaceuticals), Primo Piatto, Inc. (the 2nd largest pasta company in the U.S.), Velocity Express (largest same-day shipping company in the U.S., NASDAQ), St. Croix Computing (postal mail management and security firm), Oak Ridge Sports, Inc., Agrotec Inc., AbleNet, Inc., Marchese & Associates, Inc., North American Heritage Brands, Inc., and The Franchise Development Group, a firm focused on socially responsible franchise development, which includes College Nannies (largest nanny provider in the country), College Tutors (one of the country's top tutoring firms) and POCP, LLC.
He has served on numerous Boards of Directors for public and private corporations and nonprofit organizations. He served as Vice President & General Manager of Business Development and Advanced Food Sciences and founded Results Technology, the largest contract research firm in the country, for Land O' Lakes. He was a senior executive with Beatrice Companies in marketing and a co-founder of the Wilderness Recreation Association.
Mr. Lytle is a frequent contributor of articles and research papers to the media and is also a frequent speaker, and guest lecturer at colleges, organizations and business seminars. He attended the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa and began his career as a teacher.
Christine’s experience and expertise in home staging is highly respected. In 2001, after twenty years in executive business management and sales, Christine decided the time was right to pursue her passion for interior decorating. Training with pre-eminent interior designer, Lauri Ward, who has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, and Inside Edition, she went on to train with Barb Schwarz of Stagedhomes.com and held the position of Regional Director for that company for three years in Canada, North East United States and the UK. During her career she expanded and honed her skills by studying with JoAnne Lenart-Weary, the ‘One-day Decorating Queen’ and Co-Founder of the Society of Decorating Professionals, and with Ann Maurice,“TV House Doctor” and original staging guru, author of six books and host of four TV programs which millions of viewers watch worldwide.
The CSP™ program was developed and released in September 2005, in response to demand for a staging training program with ”meat”. Having personally taught more than 1400 people how to start a staging business, Christine has quickly become known as an expert in the field and is one of the most certified trainers in North America. Within the first year of its existence, CSP certified 450 staging consultants across Canada and in August 2006 CSP™ launched its program in the U.S. Christine has co-authored an e-book titled Home Staging Business Guide and is currently working on another book to be published in 2007, which will be in a unique, thought provoking format to provide the public with staging information.
Recently, Christine studied with Dewey Sadka, pre-eminent colour expert. Christine is the only Dewey Colour Consultant and Instructor in Canada and sits on the Dewey Colour System advisory council. Dewey created a multi-patented system that is now the world's first scientifically valid, color-based personality test. He has been featured on HGTV.COM, Discovery Channel, CNN, and written about in over 40 national magazines.
In 2004, Christine won an International Staging Award of Excellence. She is an affiliate of the Interior Design Society, charter member of the Society of Decorating Professionals and founder of the International Staging Professional Association.
